Mental health falls under the category of disability. These online resources are designed to support employers understand their obligations and how they can best protect their employees.
Looking after the mental health of your employees makes business sense: tackling stigma can make a real difference to sickness absence rates, presenteeism levels, staff wellbeing and productivity, and retention. When you sign the Employer Pledge you demonstrate your commitment to change how we think and act about mental health in the workplace and make sure that employees who are facing these problems feel supported.
The Mental Health at Work Gateway is your first stop to find documents, guides, tips, videos, courses, podcasts, templates and information from key organisations across the UK, all aimed at helping you get to grips with workplace mental health. The gateway is curated by Mind, supported by The Royal Foundation and their partners.
For employers wishing to support their team’s wellbeing, Hospitality Action offer an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). Hospitality Action’s EAP is the only such programme designed specifically to assist those working in hospitality by providing specialist, independent and confidential advice, support and assistance. They are available 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
