The Mind Infoline provides information on a range of topics including: types of mental health problems; where to get help; medication and alternative treatments and advocacy. Lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).
The Mind Legal Line provides legal information and general advice on mental health related law covering: mental health; mental capacity; community care; human rights and discrimination/equality related to mental health issues. Lines are open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).
If you are treated differently because of your mental health problem this may be discrimination and might be against the law. These online resources are designed to support an employee approach their employer regarding such issues.
Mind's network of 135 local Minds deliver mental health services in England and Wales. Each local Mind is unique. They understand the needs of their community and they tailor their services to match. Services include talking therapies, peer support, advocacy, crisis care, employment and housing support. You can find your Local Mind by visiting the Mind website.
Hospitality Action, the Hospitality Industry Benevolent Organisation, offers vital assistance to all who work, or have worked within hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in difficulty. They can provide: Essential Needs Grants; Crisis Grants; Top Up Grants; Winter Fuel Grants; Family Days out and a 24/7 Assistance Line
Hospitality Action operate an Assistance Line open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The Assistance Line is totally confidential and can offer support and guidance across a wide range of topics including financial wellbeing, health and mental health, parenting and carer support.
